Fusco Travels to Albany with New York State Trial Lawyers Association to Press for Needed Legislation for Ground Zero Workers.
On May 21st and May 22nd Vic and Sara Fusco traveled to Albany with Vic joining up with the New York State Trial Lawyers’ Association to lobby for much needed legislation to assist clean-up, rescue and recovery workers from the 9-11 attack. The bill has been written in both houses, but there remained the need for further intense efforts to get it on to the floor in both houses. Meanwhile, Sara hooked up with our friends at UFCW Local 1500, and several other unions which had sent busloads of workers to Albany to demonstrate for the Fair Share for Health Care Act. Vic also spoke at a statewide conference for Officers of the International Union of Operating Engineers, at the invitation of Bill Duffy, President of IUOE Local 138.
