Fusco Advocates for 9-11 Rescue, Clean-Up and Recovery Workers
On May 31st, Vic Fusco appeared at a Press Conference at City Hall at the request of New York State Assemblyman Jonathan Bing. Other Public Officials who attended were Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney and Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer. Stringer and Bing authored a 9-11 Presumption Bill to assist workers from Ground Zero who became ill too late to file a timely claim for compensation. Fusco’s remarks appeared on several New York television news programs the following day.Newsday for June 1st, featured an article on the "9-11 Plague" a debilitating and sometimes fatal constellation of diseases afflicting rescue, clean-up and recovery workers from Ground Zero. Vic Fusco was interviewed along with an FBR client, and some other workers. On June 12th Vic Fusco attended a conference for disabled WTC rescue, clean-up and recovery workers held at New Paltz, New York. On June 17th Fusco joined the Unsung Heroes Helping Heroes at a rally held at theWorld Trade Center Site.
