Doctors’ Seminar held January 17th, 2007.
Medical Professionals frequently have difficulty grasping the not so scientific concepts used by attorneys in Workers’ Compensation cases. On January 17th 2007, at the law center the firm conducted a well attended seminar for medical professionals and support staff to review the basics of Workers’ Compensation law with particular attention to the medical aspects. Special attention was given to the issue of establishing causal relationship in occupational disease cases. We also discussed how to prepare reports that meet Workers' Compensation Board Standards, elements of medical proof, dealing with contested cases, testimony at hearings and depositions, report submission and medical billing. Extensive materials were provided. Panelists included Richard Brandenstein, Erin McCabe and Victor Fusco.
