Before becoming an Attorney, Sean J. Beaton served for eight years as a Fraud Investigator with New York State DMV Division of Field Investigation where he conducted criminal investigations involving identity theft, fraudulent documents and worked alongside State and Federal Prosecutors.
He attended Touro Law School where he was the recipient of CALI Awards for Academic Excellence in Civil Procedure I and II. He was a member of the Dean's List all semesters and graduated Magna Cum Laude, ranked 7th in his class. Further, he served as Research Editor for the Touro Law Review.
Throughout his career, Sean has proven to be a leader in the field. As a New York State Investigator, he received the prestigious Commissioner's Recognition Award. This was given after Sean's investigation thwarted a multi-million dollar identity theft and fraudulent document ring in New York City. The investigation led to the arrest and successful prosecution of over forty individuals.
Sean has been extremely vocal in the community. He has lectured at numerous DA offices and law enforcement agencies on the topics of identity theft, benefits fraud and fraudulent documents. Further, he has spoken to various labor unions about workers' compensation, premises liability, third party lawsuits and social security disability.
At FBR, Sean handles numerous legal matters for the firm including cases involving work injuries, accidents and real estate transactions.
